Grayson County Parks and Recreation Department is nestled in beautiful Grayson County VA in the shadow of Grayson Highlands State Park. Grayson County Parks and Recreation is a member of the Virginia Recreation and Park Society and the National Recreation and Parks Association. Grayson County Parks and Recreations main office is located in the Grayson County Rec Park located in Independence Va. Our park hosts a plethora of activities for all ages including trails, ballfields, an outdoor swimming pool, a playground, and multiple shelters that are available for use for your next event. Our park has recently grown to include the addition of the Powerhouse Falls area. Future development of the park will include the development of the Lundy Trail Loop around the falls area. We are also in the planning phases of the development and complete utilization of the more than 100 acres at our disposal in the park. Future plans include mountain biking trails, hiking and biking trails, fishing, bouldering, and much more. Grayson County Parks and Recreation is growing! We hope that you will join us. Feel free to contact us with any questions or for more information on the park.
